Professor
Hyundong Shin
 

Hyundong Shin received the B.S. degree in electronics engineering from Kyung Hee University, Korea, in 1999, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Seoul National University, Korea, in 2001 and 2004, respectively. During his postdoctoral research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from 2004 to 2006, he was with the Wireless Communication and Network Sciences Laboratory under the supervision of Professor Moe Win.


In 2006, he joined Kyung Hee University, Korea, where he is now a Professor at Department of Electronics and Radio Engineering. His research interests include wireless communications and information theory with current emphasis on MIMO communication systems, cooperative communication networks, cognitive radio and networks, network interference, vehicular communication networks, physical-layer security, location-aware radios and networks, molecular communications, and quantum information science.

Dr. Shin was honored with the Knowledge Creation Award in the field of Computer Science from Korean Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (2010). He received the IEEE William R. Bennett Prize Paper Award (2012), the IEEE Guglielmo Marconi Prize Paper Award (2008), the IEEE VTC Best Paper Award (2008 Spring), and the IEEE VTS APWCS Best Paper Award (2010). He served as a Technical Program co-chair for the IEEE WCNC (PHY Track 2009), the IEEE Globecom (Communication Theory Symposium 2012, Cognitive Radio and Networks Symposium 2016), and a TPC member for the IEEE ICC (2006, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015), the IEEE Globecom (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015), the IEEE VTC (2009 Fall, 2010 Spring, 2010 Fall, 2011 Spring, 2011 Fall, 2012 Spring, 2013 Spring, 2014 Spring, 2014 Fall, 2015 Spring, 2015 Fall), the IEEE PIMRC (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014), the IEEE WCNC (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015), the IEEE WiMob (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014), and the IEEE ICUWB (2006). He was an Editor for IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications (2007-2012), IEEE Communications Letters (2013-2015), and a Guest Editor for EURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing (Special Issue on Wireless Cooperative Networks). He is a Senior Member of IEEE.

Youngmin Jeong
 

Youngmin Jeong received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in Electronics and Radio Engineering from Kyung Hee University, Yongin, Korea, in 2009, 2011 and 2015, respectively. Since 2015, he has been a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Communications and Coding Theory Laboratory, Kyung Hee University, Yongin, Korea. His current research interests include wireless communications, cooperative communications, and heterogeneous networks.

A. Chaminda J. Samarasekera
 

Chaminda was born in Kandy, Sri Lanka. He received his A.Sc. degree in Avionics Technology and B.Sc. degree in Avionic Engineering Technology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA in 2004. He has a M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona, Sweden. He is currently working towards his PhD in Electronic and Radio Engineering at Kyung Hee University. His current research interest are millimeter wave communication, wireless communication, MIMO communication systems, cognitive radio and cooperative communication.

Trinh Phuong Dung
 

Trinh Phuong Dung was born in Bac Ninh province, Vietnam. She received the B.S. degree in electronics and telecommunications from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Vietnam, in August 2012 and M.E. degree in Electronic Engineering at Kyung Hee University, Korea, in 2014. Currently, she is working toward a Ph.D. degree in Department of Electronics & Radio Engineering, Kyung Hee University, Korea. Her research interests include information theory and MIMO communication systems, wireless communications and cooperative communications.

Junaid ur Rehman
 

Junaid is from Pakistan. He joined CCTLab in September, 2014. He is currently Ph.D. candidate in the department of Electronics and Radio Engineering at Kyung Hee University. He has done his Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from NUST College of EME, Pakistan. His research interests include Quantum key distribution, quantum encryption, quantum information theory, and quantum communications.

Muhammad Asad Ullah
 

Asad did his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from NUST, Pakistan and followed it up with an year in the process industry. Currently he is enrolled in the MS-PhD program at Kyung Hee University and has started working as a research assistant at CCTLab since March, 2016. His research interests include Quantum Communications.

Ahmad Farooq
 

Ahmad did his Bachelors in Electronic Engineering from GIKI, Pakistan in 2015. He has joined CCTLab in March 2016. He is currently enrolled in the MS-PhD program at Kyung Hee University. His Research interests are quantum communication, quantum decision and quantum detection Theory.

Fakhar Zaman
 

Fakhar is from Pakistan. He did his BE in Electrical Engineering from NUST, College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Pakistan. . He is currently enrolled as MS-PhD program in Electronics and Radio Engineering at Kyung Hee Univresity and has started working at CCTLab as a research assistant since September 2016. His research interests are quantum communication and quantum detection theory.
